Wakefield 72 Hull FC 10: Individual Player Reviews

Our very own worst nightmare, Hull FC were embarrassed at Wakefield as the home side ran out 72-10 winners this Sunday.

Here are Up the Cream’s individual player reviews.

Starting XIII:

Jamie Shaul – Exposed a few times as Wakefield racked up a cricket score. Took off with a foot injury. Clearly not fit.

Bureta Faraimo – Good finisher but needs to learn to stay on his bloody wing. Lost count the amount of times he’s cost us tries drifting in.

Jack Logan – Display full of errors as we’ve come to expect in recent weeks. Costly error kickstarted it all.

Carlos Tuimavave – Poor in defence and offered nothing in attack. Another who’s clearly not fit.

Fetuli Talanoa – Not at the races. You could tell he’s been out for three months. Dropped pass when in the clear summed it up

Jordan Abdull – Anonymous all game really.

Marc Sneyd – Put his hand up to play but probably should spend the rest of the season in Malia or something. No point risking that knee. Rushed back, clearly not fit and ineffective.

Scott Taylor – Even Tag wasn’t at the races, that’s how bad it was.

Danny Houghton – Not fashionable to criticise a ‘name’ is it? Sure Danny will do his own talking.

Masimbaashe Matongo – Was a big fan of him in the Academy but struggling to see any progression now. Average at best here. Expecting miracles from him every week.

Jansin Turgut – Decent last week but was hopeless this week. Really poor.

Dean Hadley – Two knocks during the game effected his time on the field.

Joe Westerman – Reoccurrence of a knee injury left him hobbling off midway through the first half.

From the Interchange:

Brad Fash – Must have applied butter to his fingers pre-match. Usually error free but couldn’t catch a cold here.

Mickey Paea – An absolute waste of space. Said it all season.

Liam Harris – Best Hull player on the day, although that’s not saying much. Deserves a shot in the Derby next week.

Jack Downs – Another who looked out of depth but not on his own.
