Hull FC head coach Lee Radford has confirmed that winger Matty Dawson-Jones has suffered a season ending injury.

Following a try-scoring debut in the Derby last week, Matty suffered an ACL injury in training on Thursday.

“Matty is done for the year. I had a really tough conversation with him and I really feel for him,” Radford explained.

“He needs to keep his head up, get his rehab right, and he’ll come back stronger.”

With Fetuli Talanoa still injured, it leaves Hull FC light in the wing department.

Ratu Naulago is an option. He’s training with the club but there’s no news on a deal as of yet.
