Hull FC have confirmed that young back rower Jack Downs has left the club on a permanent basis.
The 22-year-old has joined Championship outfit Batley Bulldogs after struggling to cement himself in Super League.
Downs made his Airlie Birds’ debut back in 2015 against St Helens in the Super 8s and went on to make 20 appearances for the club, scoring one try.
He never made a consistent run in the side though after captaining the reserves in both 2016 and 2017, in fact playing more times for Doncaster than Hull FC in 2018.
Downs joins fellow back rower Jansin Turgut in leaving the club this season.
