Hull FC provide injury update – and there’s a long-term blow for Jack Logan

Hull FC Head of Conditioning Paul Hatton has provided an injury update at the club, and it’s not good news, with young Jack Logan ruled out for 3-4 months with a serious elbow injury that requires surgery.

Logan had just got himself back into the side with a superb hat-trick of tries in the Good Friday Derby, and his rotten luck sadly continues. The three-quarter had spent two years out with a career threatening knee injury, before returning last season. The player is out of contract at the end of 2019.

Elsewhere Carlos Tuimavave (Achilles) is still out injured for two to three weeks, whilst Gareth Ellis will spent up to a fortnight out with a knee injury.

Both Sika Manu and Danny Houghton missed the win at Warrington with calf strains, and are battling to make the Magic Weekend fixture against Huddersfield, an event that Scott Taylor and Mickey Paea will be available for after the pair passed their concussion tests this week.

There is some good news though as both Andre Savelio and Josh Bowden are available for selection ahead of the trip to Anfield, which will come too soon for winger Bureta Faraimo who has a dead leg.

Bowden made his comeback for the Reserves at Bradford earlier this month, but hasn’t featured for the first team for over a year. Meanwhile Savelio has been missing since last months away win at Salford. Both will bolster the pack in a welcome return.
