Hull FC fan favourite Hakim Miloudi has been named in France’s squad to take on England on Wednesday 17th October.
Miloudi enjoyed a good first season in East Yorkshire, with his popularity rising faster than the Hull FC injury list after some enthusiastic displays for the Airlie Birds.
That has earned the fiery utility man a place in a raw French squad, which still boasts eleven players from English Super League clubs, alongside blokes from both Catalans, Toulouse and French league clubs St Esteve and Carcassonne, laterally a side Miloudi used to play for.
Unfortunately Mark Kheirallah, Antoni Maria, Ben Garcia and Julian Bousquet are out due to injuries, but there’s still some talent there.
Miloudi of course was dropped from the French squad last year for disciplinary reasons – missing the team bus to the airport, or something along those lines.
France’s fixture with England, hosted at Leigh Sports Village, serves as a warm up fixture for the latters test series against New Zealand, starting at Hull on Saturday 27th October.
Full French squad: Bastien Ader (Toulouse), Lucas Albert (Catalans), Jason Baitieri (Catalans), William Barthau (Toulouse), Lambert Belmas (Catalans), Ilias Bergal (Leigh), Rhys Curran (Toulouse), Alrix Da Costa (Catalans), Bastien Escamilla (Carcassonne), Morgan Escare (Wigan), Theo Fages (St Helens), Tony Gigot (Catalans), Mickael Goudemand (Catalans), Benjamin Jullien (Catalans), Paul Marcon (Toulouse), Thibaud Margalet (St Esteve Xiii Catalan), Hakim Miloudi (Hull FC), Roman Navarrete (Wigan), Justin Sangare (Toulouse).
