Lee Radford has dropped a further bombshell on Hull FC recruitment for 2019.
Many fans felt under-whelmed by the signings announced on Thursday, but the clubs head coach has reassured that there will be more.
The Black and Whites announced the capture of rugby union converts Andrew Bulman and Charlie Graham, both of whom are likely to line up in the reserves, before much speculated target Levy Nzoungou was announced, alongside a surprising capture in Danny Langtree.
Speaking to the clubs official website Radford said, “We have been open about adding some depth to our squad and we still have one or two areas we would like to improve before the new season comes around.”
Thursday’s news is the start of a change in recruitment philosophy, after owner Adam Pearson put the words into practice after the shambolic 80-10 defeat at Warrington last month.
Pearson said at the time, “We will now be adding three or four proper signings, not youth players. We are going to move some players out and bring some new ones in and completely refresh the squad.
“We will move players on who we feel have let the club down over the past two months and we will have three or four significant signings and three or four development signings to add.”
The recently announced quartet of Bulman, Graham, Nzoungou and Langtree are the four development signings Pearson spoke of.
Now for the significant ones….
